COVID-19 How do I set up the SHARED folder so that Students and Professor can share files?

We use MatLab for our programming for engineers course. We are looking at the possibility of moving entirely online. Our school has an unlimited license but some students do not have personal devices to download MatLab to work remotely.

The students already know how to access MatLab remotely and then download/upload between the cloud and the device they are at in order to move files around and be able to submit them to our Learning Management System.

There is a SHARED folder on the MatLab Drive, but I cannot find instructions on how to set it up.

I would like for those students to be able to work on the MatLab Drive and for me to be able to access them, download them, and grade them.

Hi June,

This link should help you get setup for sharing with MATLAB Drive. It sounds as though the students that do not have personal devices onto which MATLAB can be installed could use MATLAB Online instead, within which all work is taking place on MATLAB Drive. In MATLAB Drive Online the sharing functionality is available as described in the first link I provided.

I'd also recommend looking at our self-paced Teaching with MATLAB course. Chapter 4 in particular talks about MATLAB Drive, while Chapter 3 discusses MATLAB Online.
