Matlab GUIDE: Tab editor is so slow!

Hi,

i have read some older posts from 2013 regarding this issue (https://uk.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/104276-using-tab-order-editor-it-is-slow-and-time-consuming-process). I was wondering if there are any new ideas to it.

The problem is that the Tab editor is reeeally slow! I have multiple panels with a lot of gui-elements. Now I want to change the tab order but it is not possible because it would take hours for each panel.

My question: is there another way to change the tab order? Like is there some kind or property you can set manually in your .m-file? Or is the Tab-editor the only way? It would be sad if i have to deliver my compiled GUI to a customer and the tab order would skip randomly to different elements :(
