Error: undefined function or variable 'gcp'

We installed the Parallel Computing Toolbox, but it seems to not be working. When running

pool = gcp();

it gives the error "Undefined function or variable 'gcp'."

We've verified that the Parallel Computing Toolbox is installed and properly licensed. We're using version R2013a. Any ideas why this is still not working?

That function was added in R2013b, the version after you have.
