Animating lines and curves in matlab

I am simulating a solidification problem, where I am developing microstructres with time!

I wanted to know whether anything like this can be done using matlab codes! Thanks

The figure shows initial parabolas at time = 0sec, in some time t the parabola translates in the x-direction to some length 'd'!

I'm very thankfull for any considerations on this post! Thank you!

I just created data for parabola and moved axis limits

b = 1;
y = linspace(-3,5);
x = a-(y-b).^2;
y = [ y(1) y y(end) ];
x = [ -30 x -30 ];

for i = 1:15
    plot(x,y)
    xlim([-15 15]-i)
    ylim([-4 6])
