calculation of volume from depth images?

Heloo... Iam working on pothole depth images. I want to estimate volume of the pothole using the depth images. Below i have attached the rgb image and its respective depth image. could any one plz help me in solving this?

(1) what you need is the pixel size (resolution) area per pixel (app) e.g. 1 pixel = 1mmx1mm

(2) finde the area of your hole e.g area = depthimage < 0

(3) volume = depthimage(area)*app (keep track of the units!)
