Hello,
I would like to obtain the list of folders which are currently open in Windows Explorer (WE) via Matlab. I am currently working with Windows 10 Home Edition.
Assuming a function written in Matlab for this purpose,
function WE_folders=WE_List
....
When "WE_List.m" is run in the Matlab Command Window, the output will be "WE_folders" such that
WE_folders{1}='D:\Folder0\Folder1'
WE_folders{2}='D:\Folder2\Folder3\Folder4'
... etc.
Here, the folders 'Folder1' and 'Folder4' are currently open and "yellow colored semi-open folder icons" for these folders are both seen in the Windows bar on the (bottom of the) screen, next to the Matlab icon.
I would like to obtain the full path information of these folders (i.e., not just the names "Folder1" and "Folder4" but the complete path like 'D:\Folder0\Folder1' and 'D:\Folder2\Folder3\Folder4' )
Thank you in advance for your help and effort

That's Windoes, not MATLAB Q? re: what is available from Explorer programmatically. I've never seen any documentation on it; doesn't mean there isn't some. Only ideas I would have would be to search the MSDN Knowledge Base.

Thank you dpb. As a continuation of the same issue, considering smaller components of it and following your advice, I have come up with another question:
Any contribution is appreciated and thank you again
