Matlab 2019b installer does not install on Mac OS Catalina
Ältere Kommentare anzeigen
After upgrading to Mac OS Catalina, I have had troubles with Matlab 2019a. Unfortanetly, the installer for Matlab 2019b does not work either. Here is the error I get when I run the 2019b installer.
Error : unable to connect to host.
sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed:
sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find
valid certification path to requested target
Should I remove the 2019a installation, before installing 2019b?

Hi Roozbeh,
It is not necessary to remove the 2019a installation to install the 2019b version but the issue might be because of license after the OS upgradation, you can contact your sales representative to know your license terms, in case you don’t know you can follow this link

Installing the Java Runtime Environment helped for me. You can get it, e.g., here:
https://www.java.com/de/download/manual.jsp
I chose the offline version
