How to check if external program/software is installed using App

I developed an App which simulates the Simulink model. This simulink model requires another external program/software which need to be installed.

In case a new user uses this app, he need to install this external program manually in order to simulate the model.

I am looking for a way in which when I run the app it search for this program and prompt or install the program if it is not installed.

Hi Kritika,

the command mentioned in the above link doesn't show all of the installed software even from Program Files folder. What if the software is not installed in program files but in separate folder for e.g. C:\Test .

Did you try this command:

system("wmic product get Name, Version")

yes, I tried it. It doesn't show the major simulation software installed!
