import dae fails/Warning: Failed to read mesh file

vrimport fails to import an urdf gazebo project with 'Warning: Failed to read mesh file'.

using Nodes -> Import from -> collada file direct gives the same problem: 'failed to read xml file'

collada header: <COLLADA xmlns="http://www.collada.org/2005/11/COLLADASchema" version="1.4.1">

This model works fine in gazebo

What is the problem? Is this version of collada not supported?

Apologies that you didn't get the assistance you needed here earlier - this version of COLLADA should be supported, so there might be a different issue related to the mesh.
