Import protection model built with fixed solver into variable solver simulink model

I build a simscape model with variable step solver, and I want to add a controller as protected reference model.

The controller was built with fixed step solver.

I want to install the controller(protected reference model, fixed step solver) into simscape model(variable step solver).

I wonder if this is possible.
