Delete table from GUI app variable

Hi all,

I have a GUI designed in Matlab called app. In app there is a table table that a certain point I want to delete to save memory, how can I do it? clear app.table does not work

delete(app.table)

@Frederico F: If the solution is not trivial, please take the time to explain with more details, what you want to do. Why do you think you should save memory? What do you exactly want to delete? What does "does not work" mean explicitly? What does "In app there is a table table" mean? An uitable object? What is the class of this object:

class(app.table)
