Excessively Slow and Laggy Matlab... Advice?

I am making a UI for a project that requires a multitude of lines (I am currently at over 200,000 lines and expect to clear 1,000,000 in the upcoming days). I am assuming that due to the sheer volume of lines Matlab is being hilariously slow. Does anyone have any advice for how to make Matlab run faster (I currently have to wait around 5 minutes in between typing lines for Matlab to catch up).

Do you really need each of those lines to react independently or to have different colors or markers from all of the rest? You should bundle all lines with the same color and style and marker shape and color into a single graphics object using nan or inf between parts to create line breaks

I was kinda vague in my question. The UI is simple and runs fine. Editing the Matlab file is what is so slow and has so many lines.

Why the heck are you storing 200,000 lines or a million lines in the same .m file ??

That is a very good question. I have many nested if loops and each one leads to around 20 lines of code. It adds up quick.
