I want to run a slx file on my MATLAB R2016b version but the file is produced on R2018b. So can anypne help to convert it for a previous version for me?
P.S. It is not a commercial file, so don't worry about it.
I have seen posted a completely different work-around, a Simulink setting that permits you to import from newer versions, more or less by turning off the error check. However, when that was done, any changes in model representation would not be applied in a backwards-compatible way; for example initializations might not be moved from their newer locations to their previous locations. Using the official export to previous version tool is more robust.
You can open slx in 16b but it has to be slx from 16b or earlier. You'll need the 2018b author to export it to you, point them to the information in my answer.
You're kind of in an unfortunate situation. If you don't know who the author is then you'll need to either install 18b or find someone with 18b (who has all of the requisite toolboxes) to export it for you.
@Mykola Hrebenyuk You should post your question here instead of your phone number. If you're able to attach the file your need to convert, you can also ask for a conversion that way.
Considering the number of warnings that the model generates when it is analyzed, I have no confidence at all that it would act properly when saved to R2018b.
The model contains an algebraic loop with a "saturate" block in it that is preventing the algebraic loop from being broken
the model contains virtual buses that cross model boundaries
the model contains many places where the initial block output is not specified but conditions are such that the outputs are not fully defined
the model contains many places that need to be checked for consistency with the simplified initialization model (which looks like it is turned off)
