How to generate a 3D plot (e.g. pipe, cylinder) from 2D plot (e.g. plate) ?

Hello,

I have plot of a 2D plate structure (i.e. X & Y axis) with some intensity values. How can I get that converted into 3D plot to get cylinder or pipe like structure with same intensity values?
