Simulink Response Optimisation With Time Dependant Vairable

I have a system with two outputs (Energy and Error), and four inputs (X, Y, Z and data) I'm currently using the Simulink Response optimisation to minimise Energy, and keep error within a band. The system runs for 10 seconds.

Currently data is a playback of existing data (and shall remain so) and X, Y, Z are single variables.

I have the system optimising these variables but they then obviously cannot vary with time, they are a single value each for the entire 10 seconds.

Can I use this tool to give the optimum value of these inputs as a 1D array/timeseries/vector or is there another tool that can do this?
