how to use nntool

hi, i have 4 element which in 1 excel file and 1 element for target. However i had put them all in 1 eg. in=[a,b,c,d] and out=[d] but when i use nntool put in as my input and out as my target, it show me in the diagram of neural network i have 2456 element and same as output. So, how should i key in. Because when i use nnstart is ok 4 elements and 1 element for output.

Use in(:,1:3) for input.
