how to convert .dat and .mdf files into .mat files in matlab

Hi, I have two '.dat' files and one '.mdf' file. And I need to convert them into 'mat' files. Is it possibile? If so how can I do that?

What version of Matlab are you using. If it's 2016b or beyond check out: https://www.mathworks.com/help/vnt/ug/mdf.html

What about .dat file?
