I'm coding below at the moment and having the error above.

g=gradient(f,[x,y])

[X,Y]=meshgrid(0:0.01:1,0:1E+7:1E+9);

G1=subs(g(1), [x y], {X,Y});

Anyone knows how to fix this? It'd be great help. I'm losing hours here.
