Logistic regression

I have dataset on which I want to use logistic regression to answer a simple yes or no question. The dataset has many features. I am not sure, on what kind of data logistic regression works the best, like kmeans works on the data where intra cluster distance is more and inter cluster distance is less, decision tree works on data where class can be described more like a rectangle..
