How do i do i use the log transformation to transform both the x,y values containing negative and positive values .

I tried using the semilogy but it doesn't seem to work.is it because the x and y values are both negative and both. x=[-0.0992000000000000 0.291600000000000 -0.0673000000000000 -0.109500000000000 0.322600000000000 -0.159700000000000 -0.121000000000000 -0.120800000000000 -0.139600000000000 0.178600000000000]

You cannot take the logarithm of negative values as you pointed out. Do you want to plot y against x?
