How to concatenate multiple netcdf files by adding a record dimension?

I have nearly 400 .nc files which I wish to concatenate using matlab. Each file is named in "sstapr1981.nc" this format where sst is temperature and apr is month and 1981 is year. How can I concatenate them together by adding a third dimension of time?
