I am trying out Matlab R2018a in Windows 10. Whenever I open the app, an assertion failed error comes up.

I have been experiencing the same error. I even did a clean installation of Win 10 education. Strangely, it only happens to one of my machines with Win 10 education edition downloaded from DreamSpark.One thing to note is that previous MATLAB versions works fine.

I am having the same problem. Did someone replied to you? Where you able to fix this on your machine? Did you try to contact matlab directly doing a ticket?
