I can not run "gatool" - the genetic algorithm in Matlab R2017b.

Hey. I can not run "gatool" - the genetic algorithm in Matlab R2017b. I have a trial version. At the command line I write "gatool" - Undefined function or variable 'gatool'. Can you tell me what the problem is and how to solve it? Maybe I'm stupid, just before did not work properly with the matlab, but with the genetic algorithm even more so.

gatool was removed as of R2015b. Use optimtool

There will be a special window where you can set parameters, or is it just a prescribed function?

The *tool functions are applications with user interfaces.

Walter is correct. The Release Notes entry that states that gatool was removed recommends using optimtool instead.
