How to fit in the subplots

I am generating some histogram as subplots from a for loop. The number of subplot is varying according to the input. When the number of subplots is small, the figure looks fine. But when it is high, all are getting congested and not readable. Is there a way to add a scroll bar or put a fixed size for each subplots such that overall figure will adjust.
