Any examples of 2D biological agent-based models?

I need to build an agent-based model of the dispersal of a pest species that is influenced by geospatial inputs such as climate and topography. Could you recommend any MATLAB examples or product to tackle this aside from NetLogo extension?

To build biological models you can use "SimBiology" tool box.
