UI for selecting plot marker type

I am wanting to set the marker style for each file I am plotting similar to using uisetcolor but for marker style. I could not find it built into matlab and I am not sure how to go about creating a ui like this. Any help would be great.

Just use a popup list populated with the marker types
doc uicontrol
gives details of creating a uicontrol, including 'style', 'popup' which is what would likely be most useful.
