How do I add cell (or double) columns together to form a new cell or vector?

I am looking to index the number of occurrences of a substring that iterates several times in a nested for loop. It would be great if i could basically add from left to right in the image i provided, to get a single scoring column.

YOur question is not clear....why don't you show the expected output of the given matrix.
