Controlling a duty cycle to reach a fixed Vmpp in MPPT

Hello everyone ! I have generated various Vmpps for varying values of irradiances and temperatures that the system should reach in an MPPT. However I am stuck as to how I should control the duty cycle in order to reach that value of Vmpp using the converter. Do I have to use P&O for this purpose ? Will that not cause slow tracking ? Kindly guide me in this regard or suggest alternative techniques
