Wirelessly interact with Gopro and Arduino at the same time

Here is the generic setup I am looking to do. Put a GoPro and an Arduino on a robot. The Arduino controls the motors. I want the Gopro to send images to Matlab (wirelessly), processes the image in Matlab, then wirelessly send the command to the Arduino.

Here is the problem. If the computer is connected to the "Gopro" wifi. How do I talk to the Arduino? Essentially there will be no more network in which the Arduino and Matlab can communicate over.

Since I can see myself slipping from the issue.... My question is, is there a way for this setup to work?

Put the GoPro and Android and host computer onto the same WiFi SSID and give them IP addresses that are all on the same subnet.

if done other thing is nothing too much complicated.
