How to hide quiver over land in map?

Hi everyone..

i'm use m_map as tool to diplay wave sea and wind data over land

so this is the problem.. how remove the quiver (wind data) over the land which i'm only need quiver plot only over sea (not land)?

this is my script

    m_quiver(X,Y,DirU,dIRv,1,'k');
    hold on;
    m_gshhs_i('patch',[.6 .6 .6]);
    hold on;
    m_pcolor(X,Y,Z1);

and i get wrong figure (see attach)

am i wrong arrange the "hold on" code?

As you said, you have land and sea.....you must be knowing the coordinates for land and sea.....make land values NaN....so that it displays only sea.
