MATLAB setup opens copying win64 window and then Microsoft visual c++ installation and then stops

When I click on setup for matlab it opens a copying win64 to win64 window then opens a Microsoft visual c++ installation window and then closes, it doesn't continue to log in window that should open from what I've read in the installation guide

Which version of MATLAB are you trying to install, and which version of Windows are you trying to install on to?
