Hello. I am installing the RTL-SDR package on a Windows 10 machine (Matlab R2017) through the instructions here. The first problem is that the Zadig software does not run automatically after plugging in the rtl-sdr dongle, I assumed this was probably because it is already installed. I can hear a tune from Windows when I plug in the RTL-SDR, but nothing else happens. So I opened Matlab and ran the RTLSDR radio support package installer. At the "start Zadig Software" step, I got the message: "Cannot CD to C:\ProgramData\MATLAB\SupportPackages\R2017a\3P.instrset\zadig.instrset\zadig (Name is nonexistent or not a directory)." I tried to verify this, I ran a tree /f /a in C:\ProgramData\MATLAB\SupportPackages\R2017a and found a few folders named zadig.instrset:
+---appdata
| +---3p
| | | component_display_name_map.txt
| | \---win64
...
| | +---rtlsdrsrccode.instrset
| | | rtlsdrsrccode.instrset_install_info.txt
| | \---zadig.instrset
| | zadig.instrset_install_info.txt
...
| +---components
| | +---3p
| | | zadig.instrset_win64 1498241327 2864172490759620334.xml
...
| +---files
| | +---3p
| | | zadig.instrset_win64 1498241327_manifest.bin
+---toolbox
| +---local
| | +---instrset
| | | \---zadig.instrset
| | | win64.xml
the file "appdata\3p\win64\zadig.instrset\zadig.instrset_install_info.txt" has only one line stating
\ProgramData\MATLAB\SupportPackages\R2017a\3P.instrset\zadig.instrset
Wich is the non existent directory. Should I change it to a different location? How can I find it? But the 3p.instrset folder is in fact missing. Is there a fix for this? I´ll add the whole tree as an attachment. I have tested different RTL-SDR dongles to check for a hardware issue. The behaviour is the same in both devices.
