Ever since I have installed Matlab2017 on my Windows 10 Lenovo Laptop Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) would fail to start. An online repair of Office would let me launch these programs once or twice, before failing to start again. I have a Matlab trial license.
The exact sequence is as follows:
1. (Successfully) start and use office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel). 2. Launch Matlab, use it. 3. Put computer to sleep. 4. Wake up computer. Matlab typically shows a stack trace in the command Window. Outlook shows it is no longer able to connect to its server. Shut down outlook and attempt to restart, it no longer succeeds. 5. Repair office, repeat steps 1 through 4.
After uninstalling Matlab, Office programs now start successfully.
Is this a known problem, and if so, is there a workaround for this?
