This is my matlab code t = 2*10^-9; L = 50*10^-6; R = 50*10^-9; u = (R+t)^2 - R^2; e(u) = sqrt( 1 - (( R^2 + u ) / ( (L/2)^2 + u))); I am getting error while it runs

You should not use e(u). Remove (u) after e. Like this down here:
t = 2*10^-9;
L = 50*10^-6;
R = 50*10^-9;
u = (R+t)^2 - R^2;
e = sqrt( 1 - (( R^2 + u ) / ( (L/2)^2 + u)));
