finding locations of both ends in 3D tubular structure

I'm trying to find the coordination points of the both ends in a tubular-like structure in 3D and I wonder if there is any available function to do this?
Please find the following image, my ultimate goal is to find the distance between the green point to the two points I have pointed with red arrows.
Any suggestion are very welcomed! thanks :D
