frequency of a specific wind direction in a histogram with hourly intervals

Hello,

I have 2 vectors (datetime, wind direction). How could i plot a histogram with 2 hour bins (0-2,2-4...22-24) showing the frequency of the wind direction being between 100 and 150 degrees during each of the above intervals.

Basically all you will need to do is find the indices of the wind direction vector where the speed is within the appropriate range (100-150), and then find the corresponding time values and do a histogram plot using them alone. Here is a short example using synthetic data:

windDir = [];

    times = [times,randperm(24)];
    % Note that not all wind directions will be between 100-150 deg
    windDir = [windDir, rand(1,24)*360];
end

Thank you very much for your help! Find is indeed the best way. The problem comes in polting though. When i tried using [0,2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24] i got the following graph.

I ended up using histogram(t.Hour(windsIdx),12) specifying the number of bins and getting the following:

All i need now is to fix the ticks into 2 hour intervals (1-->00:00-2:00, 3-->2:00-4:00, 5-->4:00-6:00.... 23-->22:00-24) Any idea on that? I will use this quite much so manual editing will be avoided if possible.
