Jpeg quantization for 10bit images

Hi there, It is known that jpeg default luminance table is for 8 bit images. I have 16 bit dataset which have maximum 10 bit inside (1023). If i want to use jpeg compression for these images, is it possible to rescale (or normalize) default table to 1023 and use it for quantization?

Or what is your solution?

It is urgent, please help.
