Depending on which version of MATLAB, the minimum requirements to run MATLAB are mentioned here:

https://www.mathworks.com/support/sysreq.html

If you are planning on installing a release other than R2017a, you can click on "Other Resources" drop down to view the minimum requirements for older releases.

As long as your hardware meets the criteria in the aforementioned documentation page, you should be good to use MATLAB.
