Hello. I have 3D scattered data (x,y,z,v). I want to interpolate this data to 50% more points. The points are not random but actually form the surface of a cylinder. I am trying to use scatteredInterpolant but I get the following warning message
Warning: The underlying triangulation is empty - the points may be coplanar or collinear.
when I try to finally interpolate the values. Below is the code, if it matters.
x1 = A{1}(:,1);
y1 = A{1}(:,2);
z1 = A{1}(:,3);
x2 = B{1}(:,1);
y2 = B{1}(:,2);
z2 = B{1}(:,3);
quantity = OSI_60_cycles(:,end);
F = scatteredInterpolant(x1,y1,z1,quantity);
Vq = F(x2,y2,z2);
Can anyone please help me out on this?
The variables are attached incase anyone wants to try on their own.

Given the data you have uploaded, that you wish to interpolate with...
min(z1)
ans =
0
max(z1)
ans =
0
Your data lies in the plane (x1,y1,0). There is no cylinder.
You CANNOT use interpolation with three independent variables, when one of them is IDENTICALLY zero. The warning message returned by scatteredInterpolant reflects this fact.

Yea I messed up the points import, thanks for pointing it out!
