Controlling a Stepper Motor

I'm trying to write a program in Matlab that allows me to control 2 drives, each one connected to a stepper motor. The motors are 2-phase. The communication between the motors and the PC is established with RS485-USB.

I have a software that comes with the drives. However, I have a made a video processing program in Matlab, and, depending on the outputs of this program, the motors would rotate to a specific position, with a specific velocity.

Can I control the drives, and, thus, the stepper motor with Matlab?
