GUI login an ftp-server

Is there anywhere an exmaple to see how i could programm a login in a GUI with connection to an ftp-server. I am a totally beginner of GUI programming.

Philip - what are the requirements for your GUI? Does the user provide a username and password? Anything else? Please provide more details.

yes the user provide a username and password. Now i can connect to the sever but i have problems with de folder and subfolder. There i have to search for files and must download them
