Matlab "Idle" definition

Hi, I have a question regarding what is considered "idle" for Matlab. I want to know due to the automatic license return after "4 hours idle time". So, when is Matlab considered idle?

I have seen such a description before, but am unable to find right now. MathWorks installation support will be able to provide that to you. The key point you might be interested in is, that calculations are not seen as idle and of cource longer calculations are not interrupted!
Each interaction like typing or clicking would interrupt the idle time.

I notice you actually contacted installation support in parallel :-D

In case there is no screensave or hibernate setting, yes, opening MATLAB and doing nothing for 4 hours counts as idle and would trigger the TIMEOUT, if set up correctly.
I have not thought about screensave or hibernate setting before... I would expect waking up the machine etc. is not seen as an interaction with MATLAB, but I have never tested.
