How do I trigger a .mfile to run from simulink?

I have a simulink model that I'm using with a real-time machine. I want to take the .dat files from the real time machine and change them into csv files. I already can do it with a .mfile but I only want this to run this during certain conditions in my simulink model. Any ideas? Thanks.
