Subtracting every other row

Hi,
I have a 9x2 matrix.
A= [0.08 2; 0.03 2; 0.04 2; 0.05 1; 0.07 1; 0.04 1; 0.02 1; 0.03 2; 0.08 2]
I want to subtract the value in row 3 column 1 by row 2 column 1, and then i want to subtract row 5 column 1 by row 4, and then i want to subtract row 7 column 1 by row 6 column 1, and so on.
In the end I want a matrix that looks like this: B= [0.01; 0.02; -0.02; 0.05]

B = A(3:2:end,1) - A(2:2:end,1);
