Segmentation Fault 11 when starting MATLAB_R2016a Mac from Terminal

Hi guys, I just installed the latest version of MATLAB (MATLAB_R2016a) and I got the installation to work, no problem. I activated the MathWorks Software from the package contents, however when I try to double-click the app icon, the application just won't launch. At all. I tried looking into the problem and launching MATLAB from terminal using the code: "/Applications/MATLAB_R2016a.app/bin/matlab". Now there is a different problem when launching from terminal because I see this line "Segmentation fault : 11" which then logs me out of the MATLAB interface and goes back to the standard terminal starting line.

Any help is appreciated from you guys.
