I suppose there is no direct way to interface GUIDE and AppDesigner. Both these applications have significant differences in terms of the supported functionalities, the generated code, how the callbacks are handled and can be edited, etc. AppDesigner primarily uses MATLAB classes to represent the components, callbacks and utility functions whereas in GUIDE, the code is a series of local functions. Additionally, AppDesigner created a single MLAPP file that contains all the information about the GUI in contrast to a FIG file that is generated by GUIDE.
This being said, I am not sure if you can directly use the GUIs created by GUIDE in AppDesigner.
