walk on solid surface in simMechanics2?

I want to make a quadruped robot walk on a solid surface. Any rigid contact will do my work but my robot penetrates in the solid surface ? I have downloaded the contact force library available but it crashes Matlab? I am using Matlab 2013a. Any Idea on what procedure should i follow?
