Acquire multiple frames with GIGE vision adaptor

Is the snapshot command the only way to get data from a camera using the GIGE vison adaptor? For our FLIR camera, I need to be able to send commands back over the GIGE interface, but I also need to acquire more than one frame at a time. If the videoinput interface would allow the command to be sent over that, I would simply use that. But I can't seem to find a way to do this. Nor can I have both interfaces active at once.

With the gigecam interface, you can only acquire one frame at a time (using the snapshot command). If you need to buffer and acquire more samples at a time - you need to use videoinput to connect to the camera and use getdata method.
