broad band signal

Hi there

For my simulations, I need to generate a broadband signal s(t).

Also, at a later stage, I need s(t-D),(I will separately calculate D, which is a delay parameter and it will be a real number).

Can you let me know how to generate s(t). I am in a fix, because I understand that a broadband signal will not have time 't', but it was mentioned s(t), and s(t-D).

Can you give me two examples s1(t) & s2(t), and s1(t-2)
