Control of a bidirectional full-bridge DC-DC converter

I am working on a project "soft switching of a bidirectional DC-DC converter for EV applcation". I have designed the full bridge topology in Simulink. Can anyone help me with the control part ? How do I do the switching in which the circuit knows which direction the power flows ?
